These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all purchases made through belliceramics.com (the "Website"), operated by Paula Reis, trading as Belli Ceramics, based in the Netherlands. By placing an order through the Website, you ("customer," "you") agree to these Terms.

1. About Our Products

1.1 All items sold by Belli Ceramics are handmade in small batches. As a result, each piece is unique - slight variations in color, glaze, shape, size, and texture between the photographed item and the item you receive are normal and expected, and are not considered defects.

1.2 Dimensions and weights listed on the Website are approximate.

1.3 We do our best to represent colors accurately in photographs, but actual colors may vary slightly depending on your screen and on natural variation in the glaze and firing process.

1.4 Small imperfections such as tiny pinholes, minor glaze pooling, or slight asymmetry are part of the handmade character of these pieces, not manufacturing faults, unless they affect the safety or usability of the item.

2. Orders

2.1 By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

2.2 We will confirm receipt of your order by email. This confirmation does not necessarily mean your order has been accepted - we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order (for example, in case of an error in price or availability), in which case you will be notified and any payment refunded in full.

2.3 Because each piece is handmade and often one-of-a-kind, stock is limited and availability is not guaranteed until your order is confirmed.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1 All prices listed on the Website are in [EUR] and include 21% VAT where applicable.

3.2 Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout and are not included in the listed product price unless stated otherwise.

3.3 We reserve the right to change prices at any time; the price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time you complete your purchase.

3.4 Payment must be completed in full before your order is shipped, via the payment methods offered at checkout.

4. Shipping and Delivery

4.1 We aim to ship orders within 5 business days of order confirmation. Custom or made-to-order pieces may take longer; estimated timelines will be communicated at the time of order.

4.2 Shipping timeframes provided by carriers are estimates and not guaranteed.

4.3 Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the item has been delivered to the address provided at checkout. Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order - we are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

4.4 If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 3 days of delivery at belliceramics@gmail.com with photos of the damaged item and packaging so we can resolve this with you.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

5.1 If you are a consumer ordering from within the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order in accordance with EU consumer protection law.

5.2 To exercise this right, contact us at belliceramics@gmail.com within the 14-day period, clearly stating your intention to withdraw.

5.3 Items must be returned unused, in their original condition and packaging, within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item was faulty or incorrect.

5.4 Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

5.5 Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to items made to your specifications or clearly personalized (for example, custom commissions, engraved pieces, or made-to-order items agreed upon individually with you), in line with EU consumer law exemptions for bespoke goods.

6. Returns and Refunds Outside the Withdrawal Period

6.1 If an item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from its description (beyond the natural handmade variation described in Section 1), please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will offer a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

6.2 We do not accept returns due to change of mind after the 14-day withdrawal period, or for custom/personalized items.

7. Care and Use of Your Ceramics

7.1 Unless stated otherwise on the product page, please check individual product descriptions for care instructions (for example, dishwasher, microwave, or food safety suitability).

7.2 Ceramic items are breakable and should be handled with care. Sudden temperature changes (for example, moving a piece directly from freezer to oven) may cause cracking and are not covered under warranty.

7.3 Decorative sculptures and figurines (for example, ring dishes or magnets) are intended for decorative/functional display use as described on the product page and not for food contact unless explicitly stated.

8. Liability

8.1 To the extent permitted by law, Belli Ceramics is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products.

8.2 Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Dutch or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability for defective products under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 All content on the Website - including photographs, product descriptions, logos, and designs - is the property of Belli Ceramics and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without prior written permission.

10. Privacy

10.1 Information about how we collect and use your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you consent to the processing of your data as described there.

11. Applicable Law and Disputes

11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

11.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms or your order will first be addressed through direct communication with us at belliceramics@gmail.com.
